For over 30 years, the SVDP Summer Camp Program has given an average of 250 children the opportunity to experience the great outdoors in God’s green grassy acres away from their urban environment. Conferences in the Diocese of Orange sponsor children from their parish neighborhoods to attend summer camp for one week.

Circle V Ranch Camp, located in the Los Padres National Forest above Santa Barbara on Lake Cachuma, is owned and operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Los Angeles Council. Camp Mariastella for girls is located in the San Bernardino Mountains at Wrightwood and operated by the Sisters of Social Service in Los Angeles. The American Camping Association approves both campsites.

In preparation to attending these camps each child receives a free medical physical. At camp, they meet new friends and just have a lot of fun. This program gives these children a chance to see and know another part of life and the great outdoors!
